Inez & Josh – Newton House Barn wedding photography

I always love getting booked for Newton House Barn wedding photography and Inez & Josh’s wedding really didn’t disappoint. As a referral from previous clients I already knew that they would be an awesome couple to work with – I don’t think they or their guests stopped smiling all day! With my second photographer busy capturing shots of Josh and his groomsmen getting ready elsewhere, (always handy when one of your ushers is a top barber!) I was able to capture lots of reportage photography of Inez and her bridal party getting ready, with plenty of emotion and dabbing of eyes. I think Inez’s dad’s reaction to seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time is one of my favourite moments from this wedding – I love the photograph of him trying to compose himself outside in the garden.

A particular highlight for the bride was getting to ride in her dad’s most prized possession – his authentic American Chevrolet which had been lovingly prepared with ribbons. Love touches like this in a wedding, it really just makes each one so personal. And if that wasn’t cool enough, Inez and her dad also got to experience travelling through the streets in a horse-drawn carriage – it’s actually impossible for it to pass people without them pointing and smiling and wishing the bride all the best! Arriving at Newton House Barns it was obvious why the couple had chosen this venue – this exclusive-use venue boasts gorgeous backdrops both inside and out and Inez & Josh’s wedding ceremony room was ready and waiting for the bride’s walk down the aisle.

With the beautiful backdrop of the barn, Inez and Josh said their vows in front of the family and friends (pick a seat, not a side – love that attitude!) and the whole ceremony was personalised and romantic. With the newlyweds introduced to their guests as husband and wife, it was time for the happy couple to lead everybody out onto to beautifully landscaped gardens of Newton House Barns. I always love a good confetti tunnel and Inez & Josh making their own confetti – how cool is that?! And Josh didn’t need much encouragement to help Inez remove some confetti from the top of her dress afterwards too (that’s your story and I’m sticking to it Josh!!! haha) With group shots done, all the guests headed inside to find their seats for the wedding breakfast whilst I took the new Mr & Mrs Capps for some photos of them as newlyweds – Newton House barns wedding photography always gives so much scope for different options, and Josh & Inez were so much fun to capture – lots of laughter! 

Back at the barn, it was time to announce that each table would be requiring a carver, to serve the beautiful food that the catering team had provided. With aprons and chef’s hats as props, all of the guests were most definitely up for it and really created a relaxed and fun atmosphere for the wedding breakfast. It was soon time for speeches and honestly there was so many proper belly laughs it was so much fun to be a part of it, and capture reactions! With the light fading we managed to get some evening couple shots while the evening guests were beginning to arrive, and then it was time for cake cutting and the first dance. The party absolutely rocked and all their guests looked like they were having just the best time – I know Inez & Josh certainly were!

Inez & Josh, thank you for booking me for your Newton house barn wedding photography – I had an absolutely amazing time and you made me feel like I was at a friends’ wedding. There was so much love and laughter throughout your whole day and that just really reflects how I would describe you two as a couple. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Capps!
