Lichfield Wedding Photography

What an amazing day I had with Liz & Wendy! My day started with photographing them getting ready at The George Hotel, in Lichfield. There were plenty of comings and goings with their guests and flowers arriving and the whole morning was just full of love and laughter. The ceremony was held at The George too and the room looked beautiful as Liz walked down the aisle with her Dad, followed by Wendy escorted by one of her daughters. The service was emotional and intimate, witnessed by Liz & Wendy’s close family and friends and then the whole wedding party walked through Lichfield city centre in the lovely sunshine to the park for some photographs. 

In their pre-wedding chat, both Liz & Wendy had requested a few formal photos, but they were more interested in me capturing what they called “sneaky” photos, which made me laugh, as that totally describes what I love doing – just capturing the day how it happens, not staging anything, giving the couple memories of how their day was and surprising them with moments that they didn’t manage to see with everything that happens on a wedding day. With the confetti thrown, it was time to meander back to the venue where there was a real chilled out vibe as the guests enjoyed the drinks reception. The George Hotel looked stunning for their evening meal, with white and gold being the theme. Heartfelt speeches were given by Wendy’s daughter and Liz’s brother and then it was time for the cutting of the cake and first dance. 

While their guests enjoyed their evening, Liz & Wendy managed to sneak away for a few couple shots which look gorgeous in the evening sunshine and then it was time to party the night away! Liz & Wendy, your wedding day was absolutely beautiful and you all made me feel so welcome in your celebrations, it was an absolute pleasure to capture your day for you. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together, you deserve it and you are perfect for each other!
