Newton House Barns is such a stunning venue and the mix of old and new makes it awesome to capture modern rustic wedding photography, so I was very excited to head there for Michael & Faye’s big day. I captured bridal prep at Faye’s mum’s house with her two cute flower girls, three bridesmaids and close family. The atmosphere in the morning was so chilled and friendly, with everyone mucking in to get everything just perfect for Faye, it was clear just how much they all loved her and Michael, and the excitement levels just rose throughout the morning! Faye’s dad’s reaction seeing his daughter in her wedding dress is just beautiful, properly emotional! Over at Newton House Barns, the couple had made the decision to hold their ceremony outside, and the weather was absolutely perfect for it. Michael and his groomsmen were able to relax for a bit in the gorgeous grounds before welcoming guests and taking their place at the top of the aisle.
Faye looked like a princess walking down the aisle to the pagoda where they were to take their vows, and Michael’s face was so full of love, there were definitely tears from quite a few guests too! The wedding service was romantic and personal and Michael and Faye were soon signing the register and walking down the aisle to be covered in confetti!
With the weather so beautiful, the guests enjoyed a drinks reception outside whilst congratulating the happy couple, and we managed to get a few couple shots with the awesome wedding car and in the grounds. Following this it was time to enter the beautifully decorated barn ready for speeches and the wedding breakfast. Michael and Faye were keen to have some group shots so after the meal we all headed outside, as well as some fab bouquet toss shots and some rather interesting wedding party shots (I was not responsible for the caption for the bridal party I hasten to add!!!)
As a surprise, the wedding party had arranged for a photo booth for the evening reception so I had been enlisted in taking the new Mr and Mrs Norman off for some more portraits while this was set up – didn’t have to ask me twice, the area surrounding Newton House Barns is just gorgeous and Michael & Faye look frickin’ amazing in the shots we took in a nearby field!
It was then time for the happy couple to cut the cake and then have their first dance, to be joined by their friends and family to party the night away. Faye & Michael, your family and friends are wonderful, your wedding was just amazing and you looked to be having such a good time for the whole day it was a pleasure to capture your modern rustic wedding photography. Congratulations on your marriage, I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
