Rachel & Wayne’s beautiful Swinfen Hall wedding photography

My last wedding of 2018 and what an absolutely brilliant day it was. I love opportunities to capture Swinfen Hall wedding photography and Rachel & Wayne’s wedding was such a lovely family affair it was a pleasure to be a part of it. Rachel got ready with her bridesmaids and flower girl at the venue, and was soon joined by her sons who made very handsome ushers! The morning was full of relaxed excitement, and once everyone was in their dresses it was time for Rachel & Wayne’s gorgeous pageboy to collect his adorable “Poppa, here comes Nanna” sign and for the wedding party to head downstairs to the beautiful ceremony room.

The whole day was an intimate affair, and all the guests were already seated, with Wayne waiting for his bride at the top of the aisle. Rachel was walked down the aisle by her sons, and the look of pride and happiness in all of their faces was just lovely to see. The ceremony was very personal, with readings from family and friends and the wood panelling of the room adding that dramatic backdrop too! Rachel & Wayne looked so happy they could burst when they were announced as Mr & Mrs Hodgkiss and they walked down the aisle as newlyweds!

Rachel and Wayne spent time greeting their guests and chatting with everyone after the ceremony, and then managed to grab a bit of time to themselves to walk around the stunning grounds – they had been pleased with a beautifully sunny day for November, and it meant there were plenty of opportunities to capture some lovely couple shots – they were even brave enough to scale the winding staircase for some cool photos! Soon it was time to head in for the happy couple to be announced into their wedding breakfast, to a rousing round of applause, and the guests were treated to delicious food, and equally impressive speeches from Wayne and his best man.

Following on from this, it was time for the evening reception – small children dominating the dancefloor, with older children finding entertainment in rather more electronic ways – and with the cake cut and first dance held the party was well and truly underway. There was just about time to capture an amazing group shot of the wedding party, and some last few couple shots in the dark outside the amazing hall. Rachel & Wayne, thank you so much for inviting me to be involved in your very special day, you deserve a lifetime of happiness together. To see your families and friends all so happy for you confirms just how perfect you are! Congratulations!
