Had such a great day with Elodie & Jim. It was a super hot day and they/we really lucked out with the weather. It was my first time doing the wedding photography at Slaters Country Inn and after such a great day I’m really looking forward to going back there again for the other 2 bookings I have in August.
Slaters Country Inn has been tastefully converted from a working 18th Century farm, and now operates as one of Staffordshire’s premier wedding venues. It combines classic rural charm with traditional values. It now has a bespoke wedding house set in its private gardens as well as The Briar Suite for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. As you can see from the photos below there are lots of opportunities for some gorgeous wedding photos in the grounds and surrounding countryside and fields.
Upon arriving I think Elodie was a little nervous but also very excited about the day ahead. We spotted Jim and his brother from her bedroom window who too was looking nervous. The wedding was a very intimate affair with close friends and family for the day, and the wedding house and gardens really complimented the day. Rather than confetti, we covered the newlyweds in bubbles before enjoying some delicious canapes served by the awesome team at Slaters. After some nice relaxed documentary photography, we did a few family and friend groups shots before the new Mr & Mrs got away for a quick walk around the beautiful grounds and enjoy a bit of time to themselves (with me in tow snapping a few shots!). After that, it was time for food and speeches, and then party time. Elodie and Jim, 2 of the nicest people and really helped me feel part of the day as well as capturing lots of great memories for them!
