I absolutely love a good Hundred House wedding so when Robin & Emma got in touch about their wedding plans for October I was really keen to be part of it. Robin & Emma had looked through my portfolio and liked what they saw, however, I think the fact that when I came round to theirs for a pre-meet I spent most of the time playing with their gorgeous son clinched the deal – this wedding was always going to be a family affair 🙂
The set up at the Hundred House is perfect for weddings and both Emma & Rob were getting ready at the venue. In the bridal suite there is even a swing – which went down well with their son and niece! I began capturing during the morning so there were plenty of photo opportunities of the details, which the couple were keen to have as they had a feeling they might be too busy enjoying the day to focus on really taking in what an amazing job the Hundred House wedding team had done with the place. With hair and makeup done, and dresses sorted, it was time to head downstairs for the ceremony.
Both the flower girl and page boy did absolutely brilliantly – petals were sprinkled with a LOT of enthusiasm and Robin & Emma’s son walking down the aisle with his cute “Daddy here comes Mummy” melted everyone’s heart, especially when he ran to Robin for a huge cuddle! Robin & Emma are definitely not the type of couple to take life too seriously and their ceremony reflected that – lots of love, lots of laughter and lots of shared knowing glances at each other. After being pronounced as husband and wife they signed the register and walked down the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs Keeble.
With the weather outside not too bad for October the guests organised themselves for a really good confetti shot – plenty of confetti and good timing with the throws (these things matter you know!) And then it was time for Robin & Emma to relax in the Hundred House grounds, greeting their guests and receiving their congratulations whilst I took a mixture of formal and candid photos to capture the memories. Whilst their guests were continuing to enjoy the ‘Pimp your prosecco’ on offer Robin & Emma had some time away whilst I used the many areas around which make the Hundred House wedding venue perfect! From the fairy lights inside to the barns and garden area, there were so many opportunities to get good photos – most of them with Robin being silly and making Emma laugh, they had such a fun time with their couple shots 🙂
The Hundred House wedding room was then transformed into the perfect setting for Robin & Emma’s wedding breakfast. The newlyweds walked in, to a standing ovation and the speeches were equally well received. With Robin & Emma booking a slightly shorter package I made the most of my time capturing all the details within the room as well as plenty of guests reactions to the speeches. We also managed to squeeze in another quick indoor couple shoot before it was time for me to leave the happy couple and all their guests to party the night away.
Robin & Emma, you were so warm and welcoming to all your guests and to me as well, your Hundred House wedding felt very intimate and special. Thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer, I had a fantastic day, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness 🙂
