It’s safe to say this was a rather windy affair, for Lindsay and Wayne’s wedding day, but that certainly didn’t dampen the spirits. Lindsay and Wayne had decided to host a small, intimate ceremony and celebrations, and my day started at Lindsay’s parents house, with the bride getting ready with her mum and dad. Lindsay’s dress was beautiful, calf-length with a fair amount of bling around the top and she looked absolutely stunning in it – I love the photos of her father seeing her for the first time, it was really a beautiful moment. Meanwhile, just a few doors down Wayne was busy getting ready with his daugher. The groom looked stunning in his tweed suit, and his daughter looks so proud of him, just so lovely to see!
Their ceremony took place at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Cannock, and when Wayne arrived he was able to welcome their guests into the impressive building. Lindsay arrived with her dad in a rather swish Bentley, her autumn-coloured bouquet looking stunning against her dress. Her father was a picture of pride as he walked his daughter down the aisle, to meet a beaming Wayne, who was overcome with emotion. The ceremony was very traditional and full of emotion, and my absolute favourite photo is as the newlyweds are walking out, absolutely helpless with laughter – they really are perfect for each other!
The happy couple and their guests braved the wind and cold weather for some group shots, and we even managed to get a confetti shot under a little bit of shelter to make sure that the confetti landed on the bride and groom, rather than being whipped away into the air! Lindsay & Wayne had arranged for an intimate, relaxed dinner for themselves and their guests, so before they headed inside to the restaurant we were able to take some couple shots where they look absolutely amazing!
This was such a chilled out, family-affair of a wedding and it suited the bride and groom down to the ground. Lindsay & Wayne, you were such a laugh to be around and were so warm and welcoming, it was a pleasure to capture your wedding day. Thank you so much for asking me to be part of your day, and I sincerely hope you are as happy for the rest of your life as you were on your wedding day!
