What a beautiful day this was back in March. I arrived to capture Kelly & Ben’s barn wedding photography during the preparations for the bridal party. At Park Farmhouse there is accommodation where the bride and her team can get ready and it was a hive of activity when I got there. Plenty of excitement and Kelly seemed so relaxed and happy – I really do love bridal prep! She looked absolutely stunning, as did her bridesmaids, and I just love all the photos of her with her sons too.
The Threshing Barn as ever looked beautiful and romantic, with lace chair backs adding a touch of class. Ben and his groomsmen welcomed the guests and it was soon time for the ceremony to start. Walking down the aisle Kelly looked so happy, and her dad looked so proud too, and Ben’s smile said it all. The whole ceremony was personal and emotional and then Kelly & Ben signed the register and walked down the aisle as Mr & Mrs!
The weather was a beautiful Spring day and so the happy couple and their guests made the most of the private courtyard, enjoying the drinks reception outside while we did some group and couple shots. Kelly & Ben are just so photogenic I loved taking photos of them around the beautiful setting that Park Farmhouse provides, and then it was time for the confetti tunnel and for them to be announced into the pig barn as husband & wife! The wedding breakfast looked spectacular and the speeches were full of tales and stories (and pictures!) which caused plenty of laughter and happiness!
With the evening guests arriving, we were able to make the most of the sunset hour to grab some more awesome photos of the happy couple, and then it was time for the cake cutting and first dance. With the dancefloor open there was plenty of dancing and it was soon time for me to make the most of the darkness and create a sparkler shot the couple wanted. Ooh, and also, check out the specially requested ‘mafia-style’ photos of the wedding party – I absolutely love it when couples have a clear idea of what they would like and I think they look absolutely amazing!
Congratulations Kelly & Ben, it was an absolute pleasure to capture your barn wedding photography, and I hope you love the photos as much as I loved taking them! I wish you and your family a lifetime of happiness together!
