Whilst many of you were chilling out in your pyjamas not knowing what day of the week it was in the time between Christmas and New Year, Rosanna & Steven held their awesome movie-themed wedding at Branston Golf & Country Club. The day was full of fun and laughter from start to finish, with mulled wine, mince pies and fairy lights aplenty!
My day started capturing (photos AND video) just round the corner from the venue with Rosanna’s three bridesmaids, parents and fantastic Grandad! There were lots of smiles and lots of excitement as corsages were fastened and hair and make up was done. With the weather staying dry and not too cold, and the venue being so close it all felt very organised and relaxed in the build up. When the bridesmaids and Rosanna’s mother headed off to the venue I headed over too, to take in the amazing Christmassy decorations and to catch up with Steven, who was busy welcoming all the guests into the beautiful ceremony room.
The ceremony itself was really lovely, and there were plenty of guests dabbing at their eyes with the emotion of it all. With mulled wine and mince pies offered during the drinks reception there was time for the newlyweds to properly chat with their guests, before everyone headed outside for some confetti and group shots.
The wedding team at the Country Club were then ready to invite all the guests in for the wedding breakfast, to which the new Mr & Mrs Wain were introduced to rapturous applause. With speeches happening between courses the meal, which was delicious, seemed to go very quickly and then there was time for lots of catching up between friends, as well as some couple shots.
The evening guests arrived in time to see the cutting of the cake along with the first dance, and there was a real feeling of festivities throughout the whole evening. With the backdrop of christmas trees, fairy lights and other festive decorations there was plenty of opportunities to capture photographs of memories to treasure.
Rosanna & Steven, thank you so much for asking me to capture your wedding day, it really was an absolute pleasure. I hope you had the best day ever, and that you have the lifetime of happiness that you deserve!
