Wedding Photography Highlights From Charlotte & Jon At The Gorgeous Alrewas Hayes – Such A fun and Awesome Day.

Wow wow wow, love these guys!! They booked me quite a while ago and also included an engagement shoot too. It’s always nice heading to the wedding of two people who you’ve already met a couple of times and get on well with as you know their personality a bit and how to make them feel relaxed around you. These two are so lovely and were just a pleasure to be around all day. So the day started with me heading to Charlotte’s parents house while my 2nd photographer Chris, headed to the wedding venue where Jon and the boys were getting ready. Charlotte, her bridesmaids, parents & family were all so nice and made me feel really welcome in their house, (her mum maybe a little too welcome when I walked in on her getting ready, Charlotte’s Dad is a lucky man!!) The girls all looked amazing with the hair done by Francesco Streetly and make up by award winning Sharon Cannon. The dress from Wedding Belles looked incredible and the shoes were the coolest things ever, personalised from a place called Lace & Love so go check them out!!! So after loads of super moments were captured here, meanwhile Chris was capturing the boys getting ready and all having an obligatory shot to help settle the nerves before the big day got under way. So before Charlotte and her dad left for Alrewas Hayes in their gorgeous wedding car supplied by Elegance Wedding Cars I shot on ahead to meet Chris. The ceremony was an amazing mixture of emotions, Jon looked both super excited but also nervous standing waiting for Charlotte to arrive but when she did he had the biggest smile for the rest of the ceremony. I honestly have never seen a guy look so absolutely besotted and in love as much as Jon looked seeing Charlotte (although I can’t blame him she looked stunning) and it was just such a privilege to share these amazing and intimate moments!  I’ve done a few weddings at Alrewas Hayes now and as a wedding venue it never fails to disappoint with such a great variety of options for photos, both candid relaxed shots of everyone during the day but also such a variety of  places to go for some formal group shots. Whether this be the love heart shot we did at the front of the house on the lawn, the family shots on the steps in the courtyard or the bridal party shots in the corn field!! As much as I love the venue it’s always the people and the emotions that I’m passionate about capturing too and for me this really helps to tell the story of the day, and this wedding day wasn’t short of emotions of every kind!

If you’re thinking about getting married here then don’t hesitate before they get booked and if you like my photography too then get in touch today to request my wedding brochure & price list. Here’s a slideshow with some highlights from the day to bring back all the memories, with a link to the full gallery of over 600 photos underneath.

Gareth Newstead Photography. What can we say?! This guy is a genius. A wizard. A photography guru.
When we first met Gareth last October we instantly knew we had found our wedding photographer. His bubbly personality instantly puts you at ease and his passion for his job is abundantly clear.
We booked an engagement shoot to ‘practice’ being in front of the camera, and were blown away with the art he could create with us on a wet, windy day in a castle car park!
On the wedding day Gareth (and second photographer Chris) got stuck right in with our family and friends, and we have had so many people mention how lovely he was. Friendly and calm, he totally understood what we wanted from our special day, and encouraged happiness and love wherever he and his camera went.
The final pieces he has crafted for us have brought back so many memories of our day that we had forgotten, and we know these memories will now live with us forever through Gareth’s photos.
We cannot recommend him enough. Thank you.”
