Emma & Shaun’s wedding saw me heading over to the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. Initially we were in Melton Mowbray where the bride, her family and friends were getting ready at a local B&B. Wtih eight bridesmaids and 2 flower girls it’s no wonder that there was a very detailed schedule drawn up for everyone to follow. It all worked very seamlessly and the whole morning was full of laughter and excitement and pretty soon, it was time to head to Waltham-on-the-Wolds to the beautiful St Mary Magdalene Church.
Shuan, with his four groomsmen, had greeted the guests and was waiting excitedly at the top of the aisle for his bride and Emma who looked absolutely beautiful walking towards him. Emma & Shaun made their vows surrounded by all their family and friends and soon they were announced has husband and wife. After the signing of the register the happy couple ran the gauntlet of the confetti tunnel (I love these photos!) and we managed to capture a couple of group shots here.
The reception venue was only 5 minutes walk away, and luckily the weather was kind to them – it was such a fab sight to see all the wedding party heading down the road to the village hall, which had been decorated simply and elegantly ready for the celebrations. With a bit of time before the wedding breakfast Emma & Shaun snuck off for some couple portraits, and then it was time to head indoors for the speeches and wedding breakfast.
This countryside wedding really was a fantastic day – there was plenty of space outside to stretch legs, and to take some awesome photos, and then inside there was such a lovely space for partying, which continued well into the night! Emma & Shaun, thank you so much for asking me to capture your wedding, it was absolutely amazing, and you two are perfect for one another too. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
