This wedding was just totally full of all the feels! Bridal prep was SO full of laughter – just check out the photos, the smiles and faces are absolutely awesome! Kelly was getting ready at Cubley Hall which always just makes things a bit more relaxed for the morning, as there is no dreaded countdown to “we absolutely have to leave or we will be late” stresses! It also makes my job even easier, as I can pop to get detail shots and, as I did with Kelly and Tom, manage to get some pre-wedding shots of the groom and his party too! So I knew that the day was going to be a fairly emotional one when I was told that there was a clicker, which was to count just how many times Kelly’s dad welled up throughout the day bless him – the count got quite high I think!
Kelly looked absolutely stunning, and her four bridesmaids and three flower girls looked SO happy for her as they all walked down the aisle. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, with the fairy lights twinkling in the background, Kelly & Tom made their vows to one another in a beautifully romantic ceremony. They looked so happy walking back down the aisle after signing the register as Mr & Mrs. The weather itself was a bit hit and miss, but Kelly & Tom, and their guests were definitely up for a laugh, I love the photographs of them all by the bandstand outside the venue, so many smiles and so much happiness for the newlyweds.
If the emotions weren’t already bursting at the seams it was then time to head indoors for the speeches and wedding breakfast – with Kelly’s father regularly welling up (click, click, click!) along with plenty of good natured ribbing by all the speech makers (bridesmaids and brides in addition to the usual three), everyone was definitely feeling rather emotional when Tom announced something incredibly personal and special for his Dad within his speech too! An absolutely beautiful moment that I was privileged to capture.
Following the speeches, Kelly & Tom cut their cake and then we headed out for some couple portraits before the evening reception began. I love these times, where it allows the happy couple a bit of down-time and, quite often, the first time in the day just for themselvse to relax and catch up with one another – again, it’s a privilege be there to capture! With the evening reception absolutely bouncing, it was time for me to leave them all to what promised to be an awesome party well into the night!
Kelly & Tom, you guys were awesome as were your guests too. Thank you SO much for asking me to capture your fantastic wedding day, you are perfect for one another and it was an absolute honour to be there. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
