Wow, what an awesome day this was! Sophia & Chris booked me for their wedding and it gave me the opportunity to visit Dubley Hall – an absolutely stunning venue in the heart of Shropshire. However, before I was able to pull up outside the imposing Georgian mansion, I was off to capture Sophia at her parents’ house getting ready with her two bridesmaids, beautiful flowergirl and the rest of the family. It’s such a special time for a bride, to be surrounded by her closest family members getting ready for her wedding and I absolutely love capturing it. It was soon time to head over to the church and honestly, Sophia’s arrival was like something out of a film! The streets of Much Wenlock were lined by passers-by, all waiting to catch a glimpse of the beautiful bride, it really was something to witness!

The church itself was stunning, and the ceremony as a whole was really romantic. The smiles on Sophia & Chris’ faces say it all throughout the whole event, and the readings done by people chosen by the couple made it even more special. The reverend also made the ceremony very special, talking about love, marriage and the newlyweds in a very funny but touching way. With the weather being gloriously sunny for a September wedding, we were able to make the most of the gorgeous setting in Much Wenlock, taking photographs on the village green with all the happy couples’ family and friends.

It was then time to head over to the beautiful reception venue of Delbury Hall. The guests were able to relax and enjoy the grounds of the venue, whilst Sophia & Chris has the opportunity to spend some time by themselves, as we used the landscaped parklands to capture some awesome couple shots. When we returned, it was time for the wedding breakfast which was absolutely amazing, as were the speeches – I always love listening to the stories about how the couple met, and other stories about them (usually embarrassing!)

The rest of the day was equally awesome – the cake, the donuts, the pizza, the party – it was all epic, and I had an absolutely fantastic time capturing it all, Sophia & Chris, thank you SO much for asking me to capture your wedding day, it was such an awesome day. You guys are perfect for each other, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
