It’s safe to say I had been really looking forward to this wedding – one of my favourite venues and Josie just happens to be one of the wedding co-ordinators there, so I had a feeling that her wedding was going to be a combo of all the best bits of the many weddings I had captured at Donington Park Farmhouse! Arriving at the bridal prep what hit was the vibrancy of the place – both the colours AND the energy of everyone there. Josie was already beaming from ear to ear (which didn’t stop all day!) and her friends and family were equally as giddy with excitement. Josie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and it was soon time to head off to the church for the ceremony.
Christian had welcomed all the guests into the church and was waiting with anticipation for his bride. The ceremony itself was full of love and romance (not to mention the slight drama of Christian’s brother trying to upstage the couple by nearly fainting during the vows!) and their smiles said it all as they were pronounced as husband and wife. It was then time for the journey over to Park Farmhouse in their super cool truck and with the weather being beautifully sunny their guests were able to relax in the private courtyard while Christian & Josie spent some time together for some couple shots.
Wedding breakfast and speeches time, full of laughter and emotion and the food, as ever, was amazing from the catering team. With the light fading, we went out afterwards for some gorgeous sunset couple shots while the barn was transformed into a casino (complete with a glitter bar…every wedding should have a glitter bar in my opinion and obviously I was one of the first in the line!) and the party was in full swing from then on! The cake was cut and the happy couple had their first dance, and then partied the night away with their loved ones – a perfect day!
Josie & Christian, thank you SO much for inviting me along to your awesome wedding, I had such a fantastic time and I love looking through your photographs and seeing all your happiness and smiley faces! Congratulations, I wish you an absolute lifetime of the same!
