These two are just too cool – capturing their boho wedding photography at Slaters Country Inn was an absolute blast from start to finish. They were both so laidback and their family and friends were all such a laugh, the time flew by and I loved every single second of it! My day started capturing Katie getting ready, and it was especially nice to see one of her bridesmaids, whose wedding I had captured back in 2016. I genuinely don’t think that Katie has any idea just how naturally pretty she is, I absolutely love the photos I got from the bridal prep, she looks so stunning, totally boho and absolutely rocked the look. With her and her bridesmaids hair all loosely styled with plaits and curls, and an addition of gypsophila in Katie’s hair to complement the bouquets, the boho wedding feel really was complete.
Meanwhile, Daniel was at Slaters Country Inn greeting friends and family, and trying desperately to avoid the camera! However, it was hard to avoid the look of love and emotion on his face when he saw Katie walking (through the rain!) towards him and the ceremony itself was beautiful. Luckily their guests were a game lot, and so a little bit of rain did nothing to dampen the spirits, and the efforts in the confetti tunnel! With the newlyweds well and truly covered, it was time to make it inside to the warmth for some drinks (tequila!) and to then be announced as Mr & Mrs into their wedding reception.
It was soon time to cut the beautiful cake which really fit with the boho wedding feel and this was followed by the speeches, which were really special and personal (with plenty of jokes too!). In between rain showers (and sometimes during!) we managed to get some group shots outside – check out Katie’s ‘Just Married’ denim jacket, it was awesome! Their whole day was totally relaxed and their guests were so chilled out about everything it was such an easy day to capture. With the light fading, I took a few couple shots of the newlyweds but then they head inside for what I imagine was a pretty epic party into the night!
Katie & Daniel, you did your wedding day how you wanted to, and it was absolutely brilliant. You are made for each other and I hope you spend the rest of your lives as happy as you were on your wedding day. Congratulations!
