Well what a day this was! I’m not sure if anyone can remember the beginning of June this year but it is safe to say the weather was fairly changeable. Nadia & Mark had planned a beautiful outdoors wedding with their awesome celebrant but unfortunately, just before the ceremony started, the heavens opened and it absolutely tipped it down – it did not dampen the enthusiasm for the day however, and with the stunning teepees offering shelter, Nadia & Mark were able to make their very personal vows in front of their friends and family. It really was a unique wedding ceremony, with every last detail planned by the couple, organising it exactly how they wanted it, and it really felt like everyone was really included in the service, from passing the rings around all the guests, to the personalised vows.
Luckily, the weather decided to play ball from then on, so we were able to use the outside space for photos and for the confetti shot. The children loved the freedom, the water fountain, the resident peacock, and the guests were fully entertained by the magician during the drinks reception. The whole wedding was a very relaxed affair, and the speeches were a mixture of laughter, tears, pride, love – just lovely to be witness to. Following on from the speeches Nadia & Mark went for a walk around the surrounding area together, where it was possible to get some beautiful couple shots. Heading back to their guests, the venue provided their donkeys to entertain the children (and adults!) and then it was time for cake cutting and the first dance, which looked beautiful under the twinkly fairy lights. The rest of the evening was then full of dancing, shots, pizza and lots and lots of fun, the smiles on the photos just say it all really!
Nadia & Mark, you really were an absolute pleasure to capture and you weren’t going to let the weather spoil your perfect day! Thanks so much for including me in your wedding day, and I hope you have a lifetime of happiness together, you certainly deserve it.
