A beautifully sunny day for a beautiful couple. Kassra & Abbie conveniently organised their wedding morning venues close to one another which meant I got to see both of them before the ceremony. Abbie was getting ready in a beautiful B&B near their home and she looked absolutely radiant in her dress with co-ordinated flowers in her hair. When I caught up with Kassra in the pub with his close friends and family I think it is safe to say that he was feeling a tad nervous, but mega excited too and soon it was time to head over to the gorgeous church in Cotgrave for their wedding ceremony.
Seeing the pride in Abbie’s grandfather’s face when he was walking down the aisle with her was just beautiful, and the ceremony emotion matched the happy sunshine streaming in through the windows. Readings were done by loved ones with the newly married couple looking on and then they walked down the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs Powles to be covered in confetti outside (I absolutely love the photos from their confetti tunnel, their faces are just so full of happiness and joy!) With the weather still beautiful, we took some couple shots outside the church and then headed over to join the guests at Park Farmhouse. There was just so much laughter and so many smiles throughout this whole wedding it was a joy to capture their guests congratulating them and their group shots.
They were announced into the packed wedding breakfast room where everyone enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea which was then followed by the wonderful speeches. We were then able to make the most of the fading light to capture some sunset shots before it was time for the cake cutting (love these photos, such funny faces from them!) and then the evening party got started – they really know how to party!
Kassra & Abbie, thank you so much for asking me to capture your wonderful wedding, I had so much fun and my face hurt from smiling and laughing by the end of the day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together, you are perfect for one another!
