Rachael & Rikki’s Wedding Photography Highlights From
The amazing Park Farmhouse Hotel
Now I might be a bit biased but these guys picked the best place in Staffordshire to have their wedding, I mean all the cool kids get married at Donington Park Farmhouse hotel right?? Well me and Catherine did, and nearly 10 years ago too, blimey time goes by fast!! Anyway enough about us and more about Rachael & Rikki – two of the nicest people you can wish to meet, I have nothing but love for these guys. From the first time we met, communication throughout the lead up to the engagement shoot and wedding itself they have been an absolute pleasure to work with. We did their engagement shoot a couple of months ago and it really helped us get to know each other better and help them relax in front of the camera whilst also having a lot of fun too. The engagement shoot finished with a crazy dramatic sky and then lots of rain and that pretty much continued throughout their wedding day! These two didn’t let it get to them though and we made the most of any dry spells we could get.
The day started at Rachael’s mum and dad’s house and the same house she had grew up in which I think always makes everything a lot more emotional. Rachael being super organised was pretty much already ready when I arrived so no shots of all the girls with their hair in rollers unfortunately. After a few pictures here we headed to Park Farmhouse where I was just in time to see Rikki arrive in his wedding gift from Rachael, a Nissan GTR. Pretty sweet hey, I arrived at my wedding in a Vauxhall zafira!! Rik seemed a little nervous but had lots of his family and friends around to help keep him relaxed and provide a lot of laughter. After a few more laughs during what was a beautiful ceremony they become Mr & Mrs Colman.
We managed to get a brief pause in the rain to get everyone outside for a big group shot that they wanted and the rest of the family shots we did in the beautiful rustic barn which has bags of character. Everyone’s spirits definitely weren’t dampened by the weather and the alcohol continued to flow throughout the day with some brilliant speeches too. If you’re not familiar with Park Farmhouse, it has the most character and charm of any wedding venue. It’s a 17th century farmhouse and has a series of different room, buildings and barns for your wedding party and you get to dine in style in the converted pig sties!! The staff here are incredible and don’t stop all day to ensure your wedding day is exactly how you’ve planned and imagined.
If you’re thinking about getting married here then don’t hesitate before they get booked and if you like my photography too then get in touch today to request my wedding brochure & price list.
