I always love capturing weddings at Alrewas Hayes and on a sunny April morning, I headed over to shoot there for Kelly & Steve’s wedding. The exclusive venue has everything a bride could possibly need to get ready and the bridal suite was busy with hair and makeup, with all bridesmaids and mum getting ready alongside Kelly, who looked absolutely stunning in her dress. The look on her dad’s face when he saw her ready was really touching, there were plenty of tears from the onlookers. 

The wedding room was packed with the couples’ nearest and dearest and Steve was a picture of emotion as he saw his bride walking down the aisle towards him. The service was romantic and full of personal touches and the newlyweds looked so happy walking out together into the sunshine as Mr & Mrs.

The guests were entertained by the amazing magician Owen Strickland while they enjoyed drinks and canapes in the courtyard. We took this opportunity to make the most of the beautiful grounds that surround the Staffordshire country house to take some couple shots, giving Kelly & Steve chance to enjoy one another’s company and chat about the day so far. As ever, the marquee had been made up beautifully by the Alrewas Hayes team and Kelly & Steve were introduced into the room to rapturous applause.

Speeches were touching and funny and received well by the happy couple and their guests and then, with the weather still glorious, the afternoon turned into a relaxed evening, with time for some beautiful sunset shots before the first dance and opening of the dance floor. Safe to say that Kelly & Steve’s family and friends know how to party!
