Alex & Ben’s wonderful Hodsock Priory wedding photography

If you want to know how to plan a wedding that is right up my street just ask Alex & Ben – it was AWESOME! The venue was stunning, the grounds were spectacular, there was a boating lake that the couple were up for using for photographs (Ben took a bit more persuading than Alex!), they had their DOGS as integral parts of the day, a caricaturist, lawn games AND the weather was absolutely incredible! Okay, not sure they can take credit for the weather but honestly, it was SUCH a fab day! Alex and Ben absolutely nailed it!

It was my first time of capturing Hodsock Priory wedding photography and I really really want to go back! The priory itself is beautiful, and when Alex walked down the aisle, looking stunning, in front of all of their family and friends it was just an amazing place to be. The grounds are so extensive there is enough space for guests to do as they please – want to chill out with your drinks, there’s plenty of space for that outside the building; want to play outdoor games, feel free on the extensive lawns; want to have a bit of peace and quiet, stroll down one of the many secluded pathways – the venue really does have it all, and there was SO many opportunities for me to capture couple shots of Mr & Mrs Hannam whilst their guests enjoyed the drinks reception and canapes.

The Pavilion was decorated absolutely beautiful for the wedding reception and the guests were treated to some spectacular food after the awesome speeches (check out the father of the bride’s cue cards – hilarious!) During the speeches I always try to capture not only the speaker but the bridal party and their reactions as the range of emotions are absolutely fab and always make for good photos!

Alex & Ben had put so much effort into personalising their wedding to make it absolutely perfect for them, and in turn made it absolutely perfect for every single one of their guests too – the smiles on everyone’s faces during the first dance, and then the fun and happiness evident throughout the evening reception really did speak for themselves.

Alex & Ben, thank you SO much for asking me to capture your Hodsock Priory wedding photography, I had an absolutely fantastic time – I hope you love the photos as much as I do, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together, you truly belong together. And a massive thank you to Jess & Phil (who’s wedding I captured over 2 years ago) for recommended me!
