White Hart Inn wedding photography – Matt & Leanne

I have photographed at a lot of Derbyshire wedding venues but for Matt & Leanne’s wedding last month it was my first chance to shoot some White Hart Inn wedding photography in Moorwood Moor. It really was a family affair with both Matt’s and Leanne’s daughters being bridesmaids. This meant the morning prep had the feeling of friends getting ready to go out for the evening – with lots of giggles, teasing and last minute adjustments. Leanne travelled to the White Hart Inn in real style in an Austin six vintage car which was roomy enough for the four bridesmaids to jump in too! At the venue, it looked beautiful with the tasteful decorations that linked to the bride and groom’s colour scheme and Matt looked very relaxed as he was greeting all the guests arriving for the exciting day! The room felt very intimate and Matt & Leanne only had eyes for each other during the ceremony – they really are made for each other! With the vows made and rings exchanged it was time for them to walk down the aisle and be announced as husband and wife.

With the guests mingling with each other Matt & Leanne made the most of the dry weather (for now – the weather definitely made its presence known later on!) which gave us a quick opportunity to explore the different settings for White Hart Inn wedding photography. The grounds are beautiful and offer lots of place for couple portraits. With a few photos taken the happy couple returned to chat with their guests and organise a group shot. I definitely think that Matt & Leanne win the award for one of the best confetti tunnels ever – not sure what the type of confetti they used but it seemed to hang in the air for ages, although that was definitely helped by one of their guests (a fellow photographer and friend Chris) who lobbed a whole bucket over them at the end – I absolutely love the photos in this sequence! After the confetti it was time for a few group shots…until the weather decided to call a halt to those proceedings – the dash for the doors that the bridesmaids made when the rain started was absolutely brilliant. Luckily Matt & Leanne were game for a laugh which meant later on in the evening I was able to capture so awesome night-time couple portraits in the rain which look stunning.

This was my first experience of White Hart Inn wedding photography and the venue was brilliant for the celebration. I do love open brickwork and exposed beams and with the reception room and private lounge bar there was plenty of space for all Matt & Leanne’s guests for their wedding breakfast and evening do. The food certainly went down well with the guests and was presented beautifully by the White Hart Inn wedding team. It was soon time for speeches and Matt’s was a lovely mix of humour, anecdotes and emotion and I don’t think Leanne was the only one who shed a tear during it. Then it was time for the best men’s speech which was hilarious. They had designed their own ‘Matt Sharpe Bingo’ game (complete with a bingo machine and cards) and they didn’t hold back in their stories, photos or insults – all in good humour of course! Following the speeches, Matt & Leanne cut their beautiful cake and opened the dance floor which was really jumping with the excellent band the happy couple had booked.

Thank you very much Matt & Leanne for asking me to be part of your amazing wedding day. Your two families coming together to celebrate your marriage were a delight to be a part of and I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience of White Hart Inn wedding photography – I sincerely hope it won’t be the last. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, you are a wonderful couple and you are made for each other.
