natural moment between bride and groom at Shustoke Farm Barn Wedding Photography

I absolutely love doing Shustoke Farm Barn Wedding Photography, especially when it’s the guests from a previous wedding who are getting married, and especially especially when I know the past wedding couple will be there too, and especially especially especially when the previous bride is now pregnant and the first groom is now the best man (if that make sense!!)

So the previous wedding was Georgina & Joe whose amazing day can be seen here, but today it was the turn of one of Joe’s best men Matt and his now wife Kate. The wedding had such an intimate feel about it with just family and close friends there for the day and for me, it felt like lots of familiar faces and I was able to blend straight in allowing me to capture lots of natural real and unobtrusive Wedding Photography.

The whole team from Shustoke were, as always, amazing on the day and ensured everything run really smoothly but still really relaxed (they also really looked after me too with some amazing food – always a treat)!!

The venue is stunning even without any decoration added and they had done a great job of with all the details, flowers, cake and colours. The beautiful wooden lettering Matt & Kate used worked really well with the barn feel. The fantastic light and background created by the unique windows at the venue along with great areas inside and out for photos make Shustoke a photographer’s dream place of work!!

The speeches were touching and heartfelt and followed by some delicious food – I loved how each table was given a joint of meat to be carved by a ‘volunteer’ – some did better than others!!

Natural wedding moments

I had such an awesome time photographing Kate & Matts Shustoke Farm Barn Wedding Photography. One of my favourite shots from the day is from the back of the barn looking towards the top table with the fantastic diamond windows in the background. One of the things I’ve learnt from my experience is you are more likely to miss the ‘moments’ if you are running around trying to capture, or, even worse, create the moments. I knew the composition of the shot would work so I just waited patiently for Matt and Kate to have a moment together during their wedding breakfast (who takes 15 minutes to kiss their new wife Matt?!!) But I was really happy with the shot and well worth the wait…and the 20-minute panic search at the end of the evening because I’d totally forgotten that to get comfortable I’d taken my phone out of my pocket and left it at the back of the barn for the rest of the evening, oops!!

I honestly can’t believe how many photos I managed to get considering I was only booked for 5 hours, and literally didn’t stop taking photos the whole day (apart from a quick fuel up with pork) As ever with my shorter packages, I would have loved to stop for longer to hit the dance floor and party with everyone!

Matt & Kate are such a lovely genuine and relaxed couple that really made me feel so welcome and part of their special day. If you are interested in booking me for Shustoke Farm Barn Wedding Photography then please don’t hesitate to get in touch here.
