Cassie & Rich’s School House Wedding Photography

Beautiful wedding, beautiful people, opportunity to capture beautiful School House wedding photography – what more can a photographer want?! In the morning, both Cassie & Rich were getting ready in Whittington, where their wedding ceremony was to take place. The sun was shining as I arrived to photograph Cassie getting ready for her big day and instantly I felt included in the wedding party – I guess it helped that I already knew one of her bridesmaids as I am shooting her wedding later in August this year (Leah & Andrew – look out for that one!!) With hair and make up done, Cassie headed upstairs with her mum to get her beautiful dress on, which is always an emotional moment to capture. With all the bridal party ready to depart to church, there was just enough time to take some group photos which Cassie had specifically asked for – in particular making sure she had a photo with her two chauffeurs, who were actually old family friends who were more than happy to have the opportunity to be part of the wedding day.

Meanwhile, my second photographer Chris was busy taking photos at Rich’s parent’s house, with his best man and brother Andrew as well as the other groomsmen getting ready. Then a short walk round the corner to St Giles’ Church in Whittington, it looked beautiful, and absolutely packed with the couple’s family and friends, eagerly awaiting Cassie’s arrival. When she walked down the aisle she looked absolutely stunning and the whole service was beautiful to capture. With the church having a balcony too it meant we were able to get some birds eye view of the whole congregation during the ceremony, and a different viewpoint while the couple were walking down the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs Ogden. As Rich’s mum and dad had also got married at the same church (how cool is that!?) Cassie & Rich were keen to recreate one of their wedding photos by the door of the church. Love it when I can help couples create something so meaningful and treasured!

With a few couple shots and an amazing confetti shot (tip: lightweight confetti looks AMAZING in photographs!) which ended with the bride and groom getting absolutely covered in the stuff by the groomsmen, it was time to head over to The School House. This was the first time I had the opportunity to capture The School House wedding photography and the venue and staff were absolutely brilliant. With the weather being so lovely, the guests had the opportunity to make the most of the beautiful grounds that The School House has to offer. With bridges, acres of lawn, patio areas and stunning views there were plenty of options for photographs which we took during the drinks reception. After this, the newlyweds were announced into the marquee to rapturous applause where they all enjoyed an absolutely amazing meal which the staff there were really kind in ensuring we got some too! Following this there were speeches and then I took the the wedding party for what I had intended to be a quick photo shoot. However, as the drinks had flowed for a long while, and all of their friends being awesome, we ended up having an absolute laugh which included lots of poses, messing around, banter…oh and some epic fails at attempting to jump over a fence….( video evidence to be presented soon)! Such a laugh!!

It seemed like the evening do literally started and exploded into an awesome, epic party straight away. There were dance offs, limbo, crazy dances everywhere and it just didn’t stop – really just a sign of what fab people Cassie, Rich and all their family and friends are. It was a party I really didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much for inviting me along to your wedding guys, I had such a blast capturing it for you and I hope you love the photos as much as I do! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together! See you all again in August!
